Headquartered in Lexington in the US State of Kentucky, Gray has now opted for Basel as its second European location. Gray is a global supplier of services in the fields of engineering, design, construction, smart manufacturing and equipment manufacturing. Its national and international customer base is active in the food industry, manufacturing sectors, automotive production, retail trade, distribution and ICT.

Founded in 1960, Gray has remained a family-owned enterprise to the present day. It operates 15 subsidiaries in North America and one in Japan. The European headquarters are located in the Irish capital city of Dublin.

Supported by Basel Area Business & Innovation

According to information from the company itself, Gray opted for Basel owing to its central location in the German-speaking DACH region comprising Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Moreover, both the plentiful supply of highly skilled workers and a business-friendly environment were also crucial factors in favor of the Basel Area, which additionally offers a high quality of life (read more about starting a business in Switzerland). We look forward to building and strengthening relationships in the region.”
