Six companies win the i4Challenge 2019

As part of the competition i4Challenge, BaselArea.swiss offers six start-ups and SMEs from Switzerland, Alsace or Baden-Württemberg comprehensive support, a platform for the implementation of their activities and, among other things, the opportunity to participate in the Trinational trade fair Industrie 4.0 (BE4.0) in Mulhouse. A high-caliber jury of independent experts has evaluated and benchmarked the various applicants very precisely.

BaselArea.swiss announced the winners 2019 at the event Trinational Workshop Industry 4.0: “Man, a Success Factor of Transformation 4.0” at the PSA Group Factory in Mulhouse.

As part of the competition, BaselArea.swiss will be presenting the best six companies of the i4Challenge at the Industry 4.0 trade fair (BE 4.0), where more than 270 companies from Switzerland, France, Germany, Quebec, Spain and The Netherland will present their innovation for Industry 4.0. This gives them the opportunity to introduce their products to interested visitors, to socialize and to receive feedback on their solution, but above all to sell their products and services. The BE 4.0 will take place on 19th and 20th November in Mulhouse.

In addition, BaselArea.swiss offers the winner access to their network, a tailor-made mentoring program, coworking space for a period of six months and other services in collaboration with their partners.

Among the six winners is a company from Basel, UniteLabs AG. The start-up offers automation solutions for the life sciences sector. The canton of Jura has two winners. Crevoisier SA has developed a polishing machine (C710) which, with the help of a robot, is able to repeat the movement of the operator. Crevoisier develops and manufactures devices for the medical technology, watch industry, automotive and microtechnology industries. The LCB Sàrl, is a further representative from the Jura in the areas of human machine interface, software and electronics development. LCB was honored for developing the “i4”, a versatile machine IT interface for Industry 4.0.

The participant field will be rounded off by qiio AG from Zurich, a spin-off of the ETH Zurich, which is developing solutions for the Internet of Things (IoT) that make it possible to implement Industry 4.0 projects with very little effort.  Arviem from Baar ZG, a supplier of supply chain management solutions, which provides real-time information about product deliveries independent of the carrier. The German company United Planet GmbH bfrom Freiburg i. Br., A software developer for Industry 4.0. Your platform Intrexx is able to collect information from software, sensors, machines, but also from suppliers or customers in the same environment.

The i4Challenge was supported, among others, by the Trinational Competence Network Industry 4.0 Upper Rhine 4.0.
