Zweites Leben für gebrauchte Laborgeräte

Wer Laborgeräte oder eine mikrobiologische Sicherheitswerksbank benötigt, muss bei Neuanschaffungen tief in die Tasche greifen. Werden hingegen Laborgeräte nicht mehr benötigt, kostet die Entsorgung der Ausrüstung oder der Verkauf auf dem Gebrauchtwarenmarkt Zeit und Geld.

Hier kommt die Firma Lab Marketplace GmbH ins Spiel: Warum nicht beiden Seiten helfen und einen Secondhandmarkt für Laborgeräte aufbauen?
Beruflich warten und installieren die Geschäftsführer seit langem Laborgeräte, koordinieren deren Einsätze und kennen den Markt in- und auswendig – beste Voraussetzungen, um in dem Bereich etwas Neues zu wagen. Im vergangenen Jahr gründeten sie die Firma Lab Marketplace GmbH mit Sitz in Allschwil. «Wir haben das Bedürfnis gesehen und nach einer Lösung gesucht, die dem Markt, uns und der Umwelt etwas Positives bringt», sagen die beiden Firmengründer.

Ein Blick auf die Homepage zeigt eine breite Vielfalt an Laborgeräten von einfachen Pumpen und Dispergierern bis zum komplexen Gel Imaging-System oder zum Microplate Washer. Auch Abzugshauben wie ein Laminar Flow oder eine mikrobiologische Sicherheitswerkbank stehen zum Verkauf. Alle Geräte werden zunächst geprüft, voll funktionsfähig geliefert und bei Bedarf durch Partnerfirmen gewartet. Zwei Standorte dienen als Lager- und Verkaufsfläche.

In der Region Basel mit ihrer Fülle an Life Sciences-Unternehmen und Laboren dürften die beiden Jungunternehmer ihre Kundschaft nicht lange suchen müssen.
