Representative in France
Location: France
We are looking for a Representative in France to attract French investments to the Basel Area.
Responsibilities
- 50-70 %, mandate-based
- Act as the official representative of Basel Area Business & Innovation in France
- Outreach to companies that are potentially interested in investing in the Basel region, based on targets jointly prepared with Basel Area Business & Innovation
- Provide these companies and individuals with information on the Basel economic area and support them during their decision-making process
- Build and manage a strong pipeline of promising prospects and leads
- Monitor and maintain on a regular basis ongoing contacts with these companies and individuals (systematic and structured follow-ups)
- Organize roadshows, business events and company meetings in France in collaboration with the Basel Area Business & Innovation office
- Liaise with the Swiss Business Hub in France with regard to investment promotion activities
- Establish and maintain contact with potential multipliers (Big 4, consultants, lawyers, chambers of commerce, etc.) with the goal to generate new leads
- Provide regular updates to Basel Area Business & Innovation and participate on occasional working sessions in Switzerland (2-3 days per year)
Profile
- Fluency in French and English, German is an advantage
- Excellent communication, negotiation and business development skills
- Several years of experience in Investment Promotion is a big plus
- Existing contacts with decision makers in innovative French technology companies and corresponding networks, as well as excellent skills in network building and network development
- Preference is given to candidates with profound knowledge of both the French and Swiss business and cultural environment, and the Basel Area
- Loyal, transparent and reliable
- Some travel required
