Annett Altvater has been Manager Communications for Basel Area Business & Innovation since 2017.

Prior to that, she worked as a copywriter and consultant at Buser, Kommunikation GmbH in Basel and supervised projects with a focus on energy education. As a freelance journalist, she wrote for print media such as NZZ am Sonntag, Basler Zeitung and Beobachter as well as for blogs and handled strategy, editorial and text assignments for corporate media.

Annett Altvater studied European Media Studies at the University of Potsdam, the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam and the Film University Babelsberg. She completed a two-year traineeship at the Kohlenberg press agency. She continued her education at the MAZ – The Swiss School of Journalism and the Media School of Northwestern Switzerland as well as in Corporate Communications at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts.
