Manuel Field has been working for Basel Area & Business Innovation since 2024.

Manuel is a strategic communications expert with over 20 years of experience working in-house and for consultancies across various topics and specialities. After graduating from the University of Cambridge with a PhD in molecular neurobiology, he worked for many years in medical communications, before switching to public relations. Manuel’s previous corporate role was at F. Hoffmann-La Roche in Basel, where he was responsible for the quality and regulatory compliance of a significant portion of the digital content that went out over the company’s global website and social channels.

Before joining Basel Area Business & Innovation, Manuel worked as a freelance strategic communications consultant while also becoming certified as a holistic health & wellness coach.
