The Japanese conglomerate Yokogawa has established a Swiss subsidiary based at the Switzerland Innovation Park Basel Area. Yokogawa Innovation Switzerland was established in 2020 to explore business opportunities in biotechnology.

Founded more than 100 years ago in Tokyo, Yokogawa developed from a research institute for electric meters into a multinational electric engineering and software company. The main businesses of Yokogawa are industrial automation as well as hard- and software for test and measurement. Today, Yokogawa has subsidiaries in more than 60 countries and is listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

At their Swiss subsidiary in Allschwil, Yokogawa will drive forward innovations in the field of biotechnology. The company counts on the expertise and personnel resources on offer in the Basel region in order to explore new business opportunities, and forge alliances with partners.

Yokogawa Innovation Switzerland is located at the European center of the biotechnology and life sciences industry. It is the ideal location from which to promote Yokogawa’s bioeconomy business through research and development and partnerships.
