Les entreprises accompagnées peuvent bénéficier jusqu’à 500 000 CHF afin de réduire les incertitudes scientifiques, ainsi que d’un accompagnement par des experts sur la stratégie d’indications médicales, la structuration de l’entreprise, la propriété intellectuelle et bien d’autres. Grâce à des partenaires tels que AbbVie, CSL, Johnson & Johnson, Novo Nordisk, Pureos Bioventures et Roche, les équipes affinent leur positionnement, renforcent leur crédibilité et se préparent à lever des financements. The program is open to academic founders, researchers and biotech entrepreneurs developing breakthrough therapeutics or drug-discovery platforms.
Selected ventures can receive up to CHF 500,000 as a convertible loan to advance their science, plus extensive guidance on company creation, IP, indication strategy and business development. BaseLaunch’s industry partners — including AbbVie, CSL, Johnson & Johnson, Novo Nordisk, Pureos Bioventures and Roche — provide direct expertise.
Since its inception, BaseLaunch has supported over 29 biotech companies that have collectively raised more than CHF 800 million in financing. Many have entered strategic partnerships with leading global pharmaceutical firms, underscoring the program’s effectiveness in turning cutting-edge science into investable ventures.
BaseLaunch combines funding with deep scientific and strategic expertise. Rather than following a fixed cohort model, it tailors its support to each project’s needs and stage, focusing on quality over quantity and building sustainable companies that can attract major investors.
Applications are accepted through the BaseLaunch website based on the next application deadline. Founders submit a non-confidential deck and answer questions about their technology, data and goals. The applications are reviewed after the deadline and selected projects are invited to the next step.
