Alexandra Beckstein has been a member of the board of Basel Area Business & Innovation since 2023.

She is the founder and head of QAI Ventures, a company focused on ecosystem building by providing capital and acceleration for quantum and AI start-ups. In the uptownBasel project, from which the company emerged, she was responsible for the strategy development as well as building the start-up ecosystem.

Alexandra Beckstein has worked for start-ups, SMEs, and government. She founded a company in the field of renewable energy in Berlin and is author of the book Bossing It—The Future Belongs to the Bold.

Alexandra Beckstein is a geoscientist by training with advanced education in business and leadership.
